Meet the Reviewers

One of the most exciting and transformative features of the Radda Rise International String Competition and Achievement Festival is the opportunity to grow as an artist during the application process.

Every participant receives personalized feedback from our expert reviewers — not after the results, but before they’re even judged. Whether you're applying to the Competition or the Achievement Festival, you’ll have a chance to learn, revise, and elevate your playing.

Every competition applicant will receive a video review of their performances before the judging round begins. This feedback is designed to help you refine your interpretation, technique, and presentation.

After receiving the review, applicants may choose to resubmit updated recordings for the final judging round.

Apply early to take full advantage of this opportunity to improve your performances before your recordings are judged!

The Achievement Festival is a non-competitive experience designed to help string players of all ages and levels grow over time.

Participants will submit an initial recording and receive personalized feedback from a Radda Reviewer. Over the course of six weeks, they’ll implement suggestions and submit a second recording.

The final round receives another set of comments, awards, and an evaluation of their progress and overall improvement.

This is the perfect opportunity to prepare orchestral excerpts for upcoming auditions!
