Norman Lu, age 11, began studying piano at age of 4 and became a student of Dorothy Shi since the age of 8.

He expresses natural musical talent and demonstrates a great sense of musical feelings. Norman participated in regional piano festivals and competitions and won numerous rewards including the Grand Prix of the 2020 XI Chopin International Piano Competition in Hartford, CT, Second Prize of the 2019 William Knabe International Piano Competition Concerto division 1 (age from 10 to 17), Special Award for Best Performance of a Virtuoso Etude in 2019 Kaufman Music Center International Youth Piano Competition, First Place at Crescendo International Music Competition, First Place at the Massachusetts Musical Teacher Association Piano Annual Competition, First Place at the American Fine Arts Festival Piano Competition, and more. Norman has given public performances in venues like Boston Symphony Hall and New York Carnegie Hall.

In his spare time when not practicing piano, Norman enjoys playing chess, Tennis, and video games.

Estêvão Medeiros Gomes, age 12, has been studying piano since he was 9 years old at the Music School Gabriel Camargo with Tiago Vazoller. Currently, he is studying with Janne Gonçalves de Oliveira. In 2019, he was the winner of Category 1 of the National Pro Music Competition as well as the Souza Lima Contest. In 2020, he won 3rd prize in the International Contest Carmel Klavier América Latina and was selected to participate in the final at Carmel Klavier EUA. Additionally, he has won many other prizes in competitions through Greece, Portugal, and Indonesia. Estêvão has participated in recitals and masterclasses with teachers such as Linda Bustani, Vlada Vassilieva, Maria Tereza Madeira, Sonia Rubinsky, Cristian Budu, and Lúcia Barrenechea.

13-year-old Jack ZhengHua Xia first took an interest in learning the piano when he was five years old. He made his first concerto debut with Czech Philharmonic in Vienna Golden Hall at 8 years old and was a prize winner at several competitions including 2nd place at the Lansum International Competition, Glendale Piano Competition, and 1st place at the Temecula Piano Competition. He has performed in a masterclass with professor William Grant Nabore and is currently studying with pianist Ethan Dong at Opus119.

Accomplished young pianist, seventeen-year-old virtuoso pianist Tiffany Koo has been described as a pianist with fiery technique and tone of a poet. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, she began studying piano performance at the age of five, and at the age of seven, she made her Carnegie Hall debut in New York City.

Currently, a senior high school student studying with Dr. Rufus Choi, Tiffany's convincing performances have led to 1st prizes in the MTNA Senior National Competition, MTAC State Final Competition, Lansum International Piano Competition, CAPMT Honors Concerto Piano Competition, both MTNA State and Division Competition, and several top prizes among others.

Tiffany is passionate about sharing her music and she regularly organizes events and performs at benefit concerts. She has appeared in performances at the MTAC Convention, MTNA Convention, Colburn Music Academy, PYPA Piano Festival, Bosendorfer Piano Festival, MTAC Showcase, Edith Knox Concerto Finale Performances, and more. She has performed concerti with the Los Angeles Doctors Symphony Orchestra, The SYMF Orchestra, and the Los Angeles Orchestra.

With her ability to captivate audiences with her innate musicality and dynamic presence, Tiffany shares her passionate feelings and extensive musical gifts towards her listeners in an emotionally indelible experience.

One of her biggest goals in her life is to be able to tell a story through music, and inspire others into feeling and accepting real, raw emotions in a world filled with standards and expectations. “Through music, I hope to make the world a better place. I wish to inspire others to always have faith, believe, find, and love themselves, and become the best of who they truly are.”

Aside from classical music & piano, she appreciates other music genres such as pop and K-pop, one of her top favorite pop & K-pop artists includes Troye Sivan, and BTS.

Tiffany enjoys spending time with family and friends, loves to sing, paint, write poetry and music, and she is captivated in the fields of digital art, photography, and songwriting.

Mi-Hyun Suh, 17-year-old pianist, resides in Rowland Heights, California and attends Diamond Bar High School. She began studying piano at age 5 and is currently under the tutelage of Rufus Choi. Receiving many accolades at numerous competitions, Mi-Hyun was the first prize winner of the Korean Times Children’s Music Competition, the MTAC OC Theme Festival Competition, and the CAPMT Concerto Competition. She was also the winner of the Diamond Bar High School Concerto Competition, the MTAC OC Concerto Competition, and the Edith Knox Concerto Competition. Mi-Hyun has appeared as soloist with the Diamond Bar High School Symphony Orchestra and the Orange County Symphony Orchestra. She will perform with the Peninsula Symphony Orchestra in November 2020. More recently, she was named a 2020 National YoungArts winner and a semifinalist for the 2020 Music Center’s Spotlight Program. She has received masterclasses from Grace Fong, David Lisker, Oxana Yablonskaya, Daniel Lessner, Lucinda Carver, and Ory Shihor, as well as private instruction from Christopher O’Riley. Mi-Hyun is also an active chamber musician. Her past piano trio has been awarded the Silver Medal and the Andrew Cook Beethoven Prize from the Pasadena Conservatory of Music Chamber Music Competition. She enjoys playing the flute as well and has received top prizes from the Lansum International Competition, Junior Bach Festival, and SYMF Young Artists Competition. During the 2016-17 orchestra season, she was given the title as Principal Flutist and performed with Claremont Young Musicians Orchestra as the winner of the concerto competition. Mi-Hyun has also been involved in many outreach programs, such as the Junior Chamber Music Student Service Alliance and the Salvation Army Benefit Concerts.

Outside of music, Mi-Hyun enjoys reading and analyzing English literature, as well as occasional photography and drawing. She has also done Korean traditional folk dancing and was a member of the Korean American Young Artists Choir and California Children’s Choir.

Playing since the age of six, Zachariah Gass is an 18 year old student who began studying piano performance with the renown instructor Fei Xu for five years and has been under the instruction of the distinguished Dr. Baruch Meir of the Herberger Institute at Arizona State University for the past seven years. At the age of sixteen, Zachariah was the second prize winner of the 2018 Carmel Klavier International Piano Competition. His other awards include second and third prize winner of the State Arizona Musicfest Piano Competition, the American International Protege Piano Competition, the Phoenix Youth Symphony Concerto Competition, Yamaha Arizona Young Artist Concerto Competition, and the Yamaha Young Artist Solo Piano Competition. He has consistently been a medalist or medalist with distinction in the State James R. Anthony Piano Honors Recital. He also attended the Behre Series of Masterclasses with eminent Irish pianist and instructor Dr. John O’Conor in Vermont at the Adamant Music School. Zachariah was showcased in the Musicnova’s Young Artist concert Series, invited to perform at Carnegie Hall and scheduled to perform at the Musical Instrument Museum. His dream is to study piano performance at the university next spring.
