Samantha Wuo (17) is a senior at Homestead High School in Cupertino, California. Since the age of five, she has been studying piano with Ms. Rose Chen. Her recent accomplishments include being selected for the 2023 Southeastern Piano Festival and 2023 Vivace Music Festival, being awarded Panel Masterclass for 2023 MTAC Certificate of Merit, and receiving first prizes in the 2022 Pacific Musical Society Competition, 2022 KAMSA Competition, and 2021 United States New Star Piano Competition. She was also a winner of the 2020 Golden State Youth Orchestra Piano Concerto Competition, and has received top prizes from numerous other competitions such as the 2023 MTNA Competition, 2023 and 2021 United States International Music Competition, 2021 Spotlight International Music Competition, and the 2021 ENKOR International Music Competition. She has performed in masterclasses with distinguished world-class artists such as Alexander Kobrin, Jerome Lowenthal, Marina Lomazov, and Michelle Cann.

Aside from her solo studies, Samantha loves playing chamber music. She attended the C’est Bon Chamber Music Academy in the summers of 2017, 2018, and 2019. Samantha has enjoyed being a pianist in the Juventus Piano Trio, which received first prizes in the 2020 United States Open Music Competition and the 2020 Great Composers Instrumental Ensemble Competition, and second prize in the 2020 California State VOCE Competition.

In her free time, Samantha likes speedcubing, watching YouTube, watching Peppa Pig in Spanish, learning about chemistry, and eating cookies.
