A veteran of the LA studio music scene, as a guitarist Marty has worked with some of the biggest names in the business. The early 80’s found him on the hits “9 to 5” by Dolly Parton, “She Works Hard For The Money” by Donna Summer, and “Heartlight” by Neil Diamond to name a few. Also recording for among others, John Denver, Eddie Money, Kenny Rogers, Sheena Easton and Julio Iglesias. In 1985, Marty played guitar on the Supertramp album “Brother Where You Bound”, and toured with Supertramp in 85 and 86. In the Fall of 1986, Marty also toured with former leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival, John Fogerty on his “comeback” tour. Continuing to do sessions in LA, in 1988 he played on the next Supertramp album, “Free As A Bird”, and once again toured with the band. Picking up again with recording sessions into the 90’s, Marty had the opportunity to record with Leann Rimes, playing on three albums of Leann’s including “I Need You” who’s title track set the record of weeks in the top 40 at 54. As a producer/composer, Marty has had his productions placed in numerous TV shows including Entertainment Tonight, Extra, and The Style Network to name a few. Marty is an Assistant Professor at Berklee, teaching in the Ensemble and Music Production departments. Much more info can be found at Marty’s website www.martywalsh.com.
