Melanie Klapper began piano studies at the age of 6 with Barbara Crain. She is currently a student of Nina Polonsky in Columbus, OH. She has won numerous awards, including most recently the state winner for the Ohio MTNA piano competition, junior division. She also plays the violin in her school orchestra and enjoys participating in local drama and musical theater productions.
