Evangelia Tsiantzi Mante

Evangelia Tsiantzi Mante, born in 2007, is an award-winning pianist from Santorini, Greece. Raised in a musical family, she began piano lessons at the age of five with her father, George Tsiantzis, who nurtured her early love for music and continues to guide her artistic and technical development. She currently studies at the Music School of Rhodes and has earned widespread recognition as one of Greece’s most promising young musicians.

Evangelia’s formal education has included studies with renowned pianist Cyprien Katsaris (2020–2021) and admission to the prestigious Schola Cantorum de Paris in 2021, where she trained under Agathe Leimoni and earned both the Diplôme Supérieure and Diplôme de Virtuosité with the highest distinction. She has also worked closely with many internationally respected pianists in masterclasses and private lessons, including Cristina Ortiz, Jerome Lowenthal, Kevin Kenner, Hung-Kuan Chen, Alexander Shtarkman, Pavlina Dokovska, Raquel Boldorini, Domna Evnouchidou, George-Emmanouel Lazaridis, Vassilis Varvaresos, Maria Asteriadou, Grigoris Zamparas, Michele Rossetti, and Massimiliano Ferrati.

As a performer, Evangelia has appeared in esteemed venues throughout Greece and abroad. She has given solo recitals in Athens, Thessaloniki, Volos, Nafplio, Korinthos, Heraklion, Santorini, and Rhodes, and was featured at the Aegean Arts International Festival in Crete. In 2024, she performed in the Piano Days @ Megaron concert series and was selected by the Gina Bachauer International Music Association to perform at the Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall. Her international appearances include performances at Carnegie Hall in December 2024 and January 2025 as a First Prize winner of U.S.-based piano competitions. Upcoming engagements for 2025 include recitals in New York, Paris, Thessaloniki, Athens, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. At just 17 years old, Evangelia has already won 18 First Prizes and 12 Special Prizes in international competitions. In total, she has received over 45 major awards across Europe, North America, and Asia, consistently earning acclaim for her expressive artistry and technical brilliance. Judges have praised her as “a young, charismatic artist who captivates the audience as she performs with her whole being,” and “a very talented girl full of emotion… with a bright future ahead.”

Evangelia has been recognized beyond the competition stage as well. She received a Special Diploma for Outstanding Interpretation of Chopin’s Work from the Fryderyk Chopin Society in Warsaw and was honored by the Municipality of Thira (Santorini) for her exceptional artistic achievements. In 2023, she gave a voluntary recital for the Red Cross in Santorini and hopes to engage more in community-oriented performances, though opportunities for youth volunteering remain limited in Greece.

Multilingual and academically accomplished, Evangelia speaks both Greek and English fluently. In 2025, she will begin her undergraduate studies in the United States on major scholarships. She was accepted to several top conservatories, including the Mannes School of Music, where she was offered the opportunity to study with Jerome Rose, and the Manhattan School of Music, where she was invited to study under Olga Kern.
