Yuchen Zhu was born in 2012 in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province. He is currently studying at the Tianjin Juilliard College Preparatory School and the Tianjin Conservatory of Music Junior High School in Piano Performance. His primary teachers are Professor Alvin Zhu and Instructor Junling Zhao.
He began piano studies at age four and has trained with Dr. Yang Ding, Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor at the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music and Yamaha Artist; Associate Professor Guanwen Wang, a Taiwanese pianist from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music; Dr. Alvin Zhu, Professor of Piano and Steinway Artist at the Tianjin Juilliard School; and Lecturer Junling Zhao of the Tianjin Conservatory. He has also studied with Master Shucheng Shi and received guidance from pianists Ying Wu, Ming Yang, Jin Zhang, Meina Yu, Ting Zhong, Lu Tan, Congcong Chai, Qi Xu, Lihao Li, Yuyin Su, Agata Nowakowska-Gumiela, Stephen Beus, and Aron Rozsa.

- 1st Place – 2024 6th International Steel Competition (China Final, Professional Youth C Group)
In 2023, Yuchen received a full scholarship from the Poly Youth Musician Scholarship Program to attend the Hangzhou Poly Youth International Music Festival. In 2024, at age 11, he was selected for the Starry Plan at the Hangzhou Lang Lang Art World and gave his first solo concert. In 2025, he was named a Future Star of the Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra and will appear as piano soloist in their “Future Star” concert with the orchestra and Hongyin.

Yuchen has performed at the Hangzhou Linping Grand Theatre, Qingdao Phoenix Voice Grand Theatre, Chengdu Jinsha International Concert Hall, Tianjin Binhai Performing Arts Center Opera House, Shanghai Jiushukou Future Art Center, Tianjin Juilliard School Concert Hall, Tianjin Juilliard Performance Hall, Tianjin Conservatory of Music Middle School Concert Hall, Chinese Wuyi Theatre, Jinhua TV Studio, and the Hangzhou Lang Lang Art World Concert Hall.
