Grace Chung is a senior at Bergen County Academies in New Jersey and has been studying classical voice for five years. Her musical endeavors started at age four, and for the next six years she took lessons for the piano. She’s participated in multiple school ensembles, including chamber and concert choir as a Soprano 1, jazz band as a vocalist, and orchestra as a cellist. Outside of school, she’s been a part of the NJ All-State Mixed Choir for the last three years. She’s performed at NJ Prudential Center, Boardwalk Hall, Weill Carnegie Recital Hall, Merkin Hall, Sarasota Opera House, and the New World Center.

With her music education, she’s volunteered as a virtual music tutor for voice and piano and is going on her 6th year as a volunteer worship vocalist for her church. She enjoys using music as a way to serve her community and sings for events such as the 9/11 Bergen County Memorial Ceremony, Bergen County’s Winter Wonderland event, and community outreach concerts at the Paramus Veterans Memorial Home and New Bridge Medical Center.

In the category of classical voice, she was a YoungArts winner with distinction in 2023, and placed 1st in the National Student Auditions and the Hal Leonard Competition between 2021 and 2022. Apart from national competitions, she’s also received placing awards in several international competitions including Music International Grand Prix, International Classical Music Competition, New York Artists International Competition, American Protege International Vocal Competition, BellaGrande International Music Competition, and the Concert Festival international Competition.
