Csanád Barbarics, 23-year-old pianist from Veszprém, Hungary, began his musical journey at 3.5 years old. He studied under the acclaimed János Balázs at the Snétberger Music Talent Centre from 2012 to 2017 and completed his secondary education at St. Istvan’s Grammar School for Music Arts with Gábor Monostori. Csanád then attended a preparatory program at Kunst Universität Graz under Zoltán Füzesséry in 2018-2019, followed by studies at the Franz Liszt Music Academy with mentors including Attila Némethy, László Baranyay and Dávid Báll. Since 2020, he has been furthering his education at the Akademia Muzyczna im. Krzysztofa Pendereckiego w Krakowie with Andrzej Pikul and was honored as the Junior Ambassador for the Wacław Felczak Foundation in the same year.

Throughout his career, Csanád has been a formidable competitor, securing numerous awards in international competitions. In 2023, he was a finalist in the International Piano Competition "Recondite Armonie" in Grosseto, Italy. His success in the 2021 Danubi Talents “III Wiener Klassiker” International Music Competition was notable, where he secured 2nd Prizes in both the chamber music and the piano 4 hands categories. In 2020, Csanád earned 2nd Prize at the International Danubia Talents Music Competition. Earlier in his career, he achieved 1st Prize at the 2011 Béla Bartók International Piano Competition in Wien and followed up with 3rd Prize in the same competition in Budapest in 2014. Additionally, he received the special prize at the 2016 Cziffra György National Piano Competition, 2nd Prize in the 2018 National Piano Competition in Békéscsaba, and several others.

Csanád's has graced countless prominent stages such as the Thália Theatre in Budapest, the Franz Liszt Music Academy’s Great Hall, and the Petőfi Theatre in Veszprém. His performances have taken him from the House of Hungarian Music in Budapest to international venues like the Basilica Santa Mari de Mar in Barcelona and the Aula 'Florianka' in Cracow. He has also been invited to perform in masterclasses with esteemed musicians like Tamás Vásáry, Alan Chow, Gereon Kleiner, Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, Kálmán Dráfi, Ralf Heiber, and Károly Mocsár.

For Csanád, music is a language that allows him to express himself most authentically. He describes his musical style as a reflection of his personality, adhering to the principles established in the performing arts while infusing his unique character into his performances. Johann Sebastian Bach stands out as his favorite composer, resonating with Csanád's deep appreciation for intricate musical structures and expressive depth.

Outside the concert hall, Csanád enjoys playing chess, a hobby that complements his musical career by engaging his strategic thinking and concentration skills. Looking towards the future, Csanád is dedicated to furthering his career with the goal of establishing himself as a renowned concert pianist.
