Yunxi Peng, born in 2000 in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China, hails from a musically distinguished lineage—his grandfather, Peng Jiahuang, was a renowned composer in southern China. Yunxi's musical journey began with the violin at age 3, leading to formal studies in the years that followed. In 2011, he joined the primary division of the Xinghai Conservatory, advancing to its middle school the following year. By 2017, Yunxi commenced his undergraduate studies at the same institution.

Throughout his academic journey, Yunxi had the privilege of attending private lessons and masterclasses with acclaimed musicians such as Midori Goto, Ian Swensen, and the Silver Prize winner of the Twelfth International Tchaikovsky Violin Competition, Chen Xi. His commitment to excellence earned him the University Scholarship for Professional Excellence in 2019. By 2020, Yunxi was named the Principal of The Symphony Orchestra of Xinghai Conservatory of Music, leading performances of iconic pieces including Mahler's Symphony No. 3 and Beethoven's Symphony No.3, among others. In November 2021, he showcased his talent as a soloist, performing Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 4 in Huizhou, Canton with the Xinghai Conservatory Symphony Orchestra.

Yunxi's virtuosity has been globally recognized, receiving multiple accolades. These include 2nd Prize (with the 1st Prize being vacant) at the XIV Savshinsky International Music Competition in Russia, 1st Prize at the “KAMERTON- SOLOIST” III International Competition Of Performing Art in Armenia, and the Absolute First Prize and Excellent Technique Special Award at the UK International Music Competition. Additionally, Yunxi was celebrated as the Most Exceptional Performer with a First Prize at the Charleston Music Competition, secured the Audience Award and Second Place at the Royal Sound Strings Competition in Canada, won the 1st Prize at the 2022 International Grandmusic Competition in Russia, claimed the Second Prize in the Trio Chamber Music Category at the 2021 Prokofiev International Music Competition, and dominated the 2020 Xing hui yao Strings Competition in Guangzhou with a Grand Prize.

Yunxi's prowess paved his way to international stages. In 2022, he gained admission to the Ecole Normale de musique de Paris. A year later, he was awarded a full scholarship for the Academy Spring Program by the Irish Chamber Orchestra and invited to the Luxembourg Youth Orchestra's summer program. His accomplishments continued in 2023 when he cleared the entrance examination for the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, intending to divide his studies between Paris and Brussels. Currently, Yunxi is honing his skills under the guidance of Professor Liana Gourdjia.
