Juliette Leclerc

Since her enrollment at the Montreal Music Conservatory in 2011, cellist Juliette Leclerc began her musical studies under the tutelage of Elizabeth Dolin and currently studies with Carole Sirois. In 2021, Juliette received her Bachelor's Degree and, with unanimous praise, secured her Master's Degree by 2023.

Throughout her educational journey, Juliette collaborated with renowned conductors such as Jacques Lacombe, Yoav Talmi, Alondra de la Perra, Yannick Nezet-Séguin, and Jean-Marie Zeitouni. She also refined her artistry by performing in masterclasses led by notable cellists, including Gary Hoffman, Marc Coppey, Brian Manker, Natasha Brofsky, Stéphane Tétreault, and Lluis Claret.

Juliette's prowess was acknowledged when she was awarded first prize at the Festival et concours de musique de Lanaudière in 2017. Her consistent excellence has made her a national finalist in the Canadian Music Competition multiple times. Highlighting her performing career, Juliette had the honor of performing as a soloist with the I Musici of Montreal Orchestra in June 2023.

Juliette's orchestral pursuits are extensive. She was selected for the National Youth Orchestra of Canada in the summers of 2018 and 2019, granting her the opportunity to perform internationally. Additionally, she frequently collaborates with ensembles like the Orchestre symphonique de Longueuil and the Orchestre symphonique de la Côte-Nord. In May 2023, Juliette participated in the NACO Mentorship Program, leading to her performance in two regular-season concerts with the Ottawa Arts Centre Orchestra.

Committed to nurturing the next generation, Juliette has spent years teaching cello privately, cherishing the opportunity to impart her passion. Since 2021, she has also been a dedicated member of the Quatuor Lunes.
