Third Radda Rise International Piano Competition

Katy Sun

Second Prize

Category 1

Nine-year old Katy Sun was born in California, United States. From a very young age, she showed an exceptional talent for music, and her parents always encouraged her to pursue her passion for the piano.

When Katy was just four years old, her parents enrolled her in piano lessons with a local music teacher. Despite her young age, Katy was a quick learner and soon began to impress her teacher with her natural ability to play complicated pieces.

Over the next few years, Katy spent countless hours practicing and perfecting her craft. She participated in several piano competitions, and won the best popularity awards of the 2020 Prokofiev International Music Competition and the first prize of the 2023 Golden Classical Music Awards.

Since then, Katy continues to play the piano and explore other areas of music. In her leisure time, she also plays violin. She dreams of one day becoming a professional musician and sharing her love of music with the world.
