Jade Chen

Jade Chen, 8 years old, has been studying piano for three years. She was born in Los Angeles, and has moved with her family to New York and Asia, and is currently residing in North Texas. At a young age, she is passionate about music and plays the piano in such a mature way beyond her age. Jade loves to play and practices every day even on family vacations, as she often says making music takes her to a different world! At 6 years old, she won first place in both the Dallas Solo and Dallas Symphonic Competitions (8 years old and under category). In the same year, she was the First Prize Winner at the 2019 Steinway Junior Piano Competition (9 years old and under category). Her recent accomplishments included first place in the Concerto Division of the Dallas Symphonic Competition, first place in the North Texas Got Talent, and first place in the Dallas Solo Competition (10 year old and under category).

As a second grader, Jade is an avid participant in math and science fairs. Most recently, she was awarded a gold medal in Math Kangaroo, an international competition in math. She also enjoys dancing, swimming, and chess.
