9-year-old pianist Benjamin LeSuer was born in Texas and began studying piano at the age of 4 under the tutelage of Alex McDonald. In addition to piano, he has also been playing violin for two years under Xiang Wang’s instruction and drums for one year.

Since a young age, Benjamin has studied diligently and performed in many recitals and piano competitions. Some of his most recent accomplishments include 1st prize in the 2022 Fall Piano Contest at University of Texas at Arlington; 1st prize in the 2022 Sonata/Sonatina Competition at Texas A&M University at Commerce where he competed against high school aged musicians; and 2nd prize in the Dallas Symphonic Piano Concerto Competition.

Beyond piano performance, Benjamin enjoys music theory and writing original compositions.   He is also active as his Church Youth Choir Piano accompanist, and one of his goals for the future is to perform at Carnegie Hall. Aside from music, Benjamin is involved in several sports including basketball, tennis, and swimming.
