Andrew Peng discovered his musical talent for the violin at the tender age of 3. Despite lacking the ability to read sheet music, he astounded audiences with a captivating rendition of "Deck the Hall" at the Bunnell House Early Childhood Lab School. This early success ignited Andrew's passion for the violin, which continued to flourish as he grew older.

At the age of 4, Andrew's family relocated to Irvine, California, presenting him with new opportunities for musical growth. Under the guidance of Eriko Tsuji, he officially began his violin studies. Remarkably, within just one year of formal training, Andrew achieved an extraordinary accomplishment by winning the Royal Conservatory violin Level 1 with first-class honors with distinction.

Currently, Andrew is enrolled at the prestigious Colburn School, where he has been studying under the esteemed mentorship of Aimee Kreston since he was 5 years old. This exceptional learning environment provides him with the opportunities to push the boundaries of his musical abilities, refining his technique and cultivating his artistry.

Andrew has been the recipient of generous scholarships from the Colburn School, enabling him to fully pursue his musical aspirations. He has had the privilege of showcasing his talent in numerous recitals held at the renowned Mayman Hall and Zipper Concert Hall, both celebrated for their exceptional acoustics and artistic ambiance.

Recognized for his passion and talent, Andrew has earned accolades in distinguished competitions. In the 2022 Southern California Junior Bach Complete Works Audition Competition, he received an honorable mention at the age of 6. Moreover, Andrew's exceptional performances in the 2023 Pelican Music Competition (PIMC) garnered widespread acclaim, earning him the 1st prize and Achievement in Excellence awards.  Andrew has been invited to perform at the PIMC winner concert, hosted at the prestigious Nixon Library (October 2023). Andrew also exhibited his musical talents at the music festival organized by the Eastern Sierra Symphony, held at the illustrious St. Joseph's Church in Mammoth Lakes (July 2023). Andrew received a first prize at the USA music composition international competition (June 2023), and a Grand Prize Special Award in Satori Summer Music Festival (July 2023) in Categories Age 9 or Younger.  

Throughout his musical journey, Andrew Peng remains driven by a profound passion for the violin. As he continues to mature and evolve as a musician, his ultimate goal is to inspire and create connections through the inherent beauty of music. Beyond his dedication to music, Andrew finds joy in a diverse range of activities. His keen intellect is evidenced by his enthusiasm for mathematics and avid reading. Additionally, he embraces the intellectual challenge presented by chess, while also nurturing his adventurous spirit through invigorating hikes in the great outdoors. Andrew's exploratory nature extends to the realm of natural sciences, as he takes pleasure in the classification and identification of rocks and mushrooms during his excursions into the forest.
