Third Prize Winner of Category 2

Violin and Viola Division

 

11-year-old violinist Tony Wu has been honing his craft since the age of 5 and is known as a violinist with “energy, big sound, and solid technique” and “beautiful, rich vibrato.” He currently studies with Kristina Zlatareva as well as Xuan Yang for piano.

In 2022, Tony’s musical skill was recognized in the Young Musicians Category of the American Protégé International Piano & Strings Competition where he was awarded 2nd Prize. He was also selected to perform in a Junior Honors Recital at Interlochen Arts Camp in the summer of 2022.

In his free time, Tony enjoys solving Rubik’s cube puzzles, playing with Legos, swimming, and spending time with his friends. Additionally, Tony’s team won two State Championships in the program called Academic Games.
